Here's yet another Retro Redux Shrug! I finished it already in March, but I found this blog only a week ago. I used Schoeller & Stahl's Portofino yarn - I think it's German. Probably some other yarn would have worked better and the shrug would have been more beautiful, but oh well...

This was a very nice knitting project which I enjoyed thoroughly! I just might knit another one with more suitable yarn.

I'm planning on knitting another Lace Style design after I finish the project I'm working on now. Lilies of the valley are just about to bloom here. They are my favourite flowers. I even had them in my wedding bouquet. So of course I will knit Lily of the Valley Shawl - I can hardly wait!! And this time yarn I've chosen should be OK.

Well I liked my wool Retro Redux Shrug so much that I've made another one in cotton. I used almost 2 skeins of K1C2 Ty-Dy (color: 216 Petals)...size 42...using the same needles it called for in the pattern. This is not a good pic, but the shrug turned out nicely.

Tailored Scallops

Here's a blurry pick of the back of "Tailored Scallops." I got the entire back finished in one day:

I'm using Feza's "Fanatic", in Proscribed Colors (thank heavens I found chocolate-and-turqouise yarn!). It's a bit thicker than called for, so I'm using larger needles and adjusting (following the XS instructions for my XL frame, with modifications to make the pieces fit), and it's flying. I got the entire back finished in one day. I was worried, since it's for my sister's wedding, which is sooner than I'd like, but I'm not worried about the time.

I'm worried because I have exactly enough yarn, and if you ever read the Yarn Harlot's blog, you've heard about what a disaster will befall anyone who doesn't get that extra ball of yarn when they have a chance. (I'll be calling my LNS today to see if they've got another bag hidden somewhere!)

I just finished these pair of anklets using the magic loop method. They were both knitted in two skeins of the Idena Bambino Ull, in a light purple colorway. Although the pattern wasn't charted, it was fairly easy to memorize. I had fun knitting these beauties.

Floral Lace anklets 2

Here are another pair of floral lace anklets. They knit up very pretty. These are a gift for my daughter. I used Colinete, jitterbug. One skein was all it took for both socks. It was close though, not much yarn to spare. This pair was a size nine length.

I made a pair for myself this summer and wear them quite a lot.

Peek A Boo Cloche Hat

I have wanted to knit this hat since I got the book, so I finally cast on and got going.

It took me about two weeks to do, as I found it really confusing figuring out how to turn the hat over and knit the lace layer.

I eventually got there though, and here is the finished product!

Yarn used: 1 red and 1 yellow skein of Reynolds Soft Sea Wool.

I have just joined this KAL and have cast on for my first project from Lace Style (although I doubt it will be my last).
I had four skeins of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in Fuschia, they had been destined for a scarf but I decided I'd done enough scarves for awhile, so...I went on Ravelry and saw that several people had used this yarn for the Retro Redux Shrug. I immediately cast on, and I love the pattern and the way the shaping is done through different needle sizes--it's a great way to try out my knew KnitPicks Options needle set!

The Shrug is a bit on hold now, as I try to complete a few holiday projects and a warm scarf for my husband as the chill sets in!

I have started Shetland Shawl Turned Vest. I am using Knit Picks Shine in sand. I have such trouble knitting items that I can actually wear. I usually get gauge, I just pick the wrong dimensions or something. Maybe this one will work for me. Terry G

Well, I had to go and make another one. This time for me. I used Malabrigo 157 - Amoroso, 216 yds. I love this yarn. I used the same needle sizes and was able to knit the size 38 using less than 2 skeins. This is one of the softest wool yarns I have worked with to date. I'm waiting for my LYS to get the lace version in and of course, I will have to try it out. Anyway, Happy Knitting.

Here's my Retro Redux Shrug - mine took a little more yarn than the pattern specified (still, only 3 skeins of Rowan Calmer #461) and I added 3/4-1 inch of edging on size 9 needles to add a bit of curve to the fit and lengthen the back. Like another knitter posted, mine also fit a little snug around the arms - which could be due to seaming - but I wouldn't want go up a size and it fits fine now. This is a great pattern and a great little shrug to have while travelling; it's small enough to fit in handbag and will keep your shoulders warm on those unexpected cool nights!

Here is my first FO from Lace Style, a Retro Redux Shrug.

Now I know it's not the best example of it ever done, but it's my first shrug ever and I'm very proud of it. Just a couple of niggles: I should have made the next size up as it's a bit short at the back and underarms. Also, my cast on is a bit tight around my arm. That would probably be solved by making the next size up too, but overall I'm happy. It was a very easy and enjoyable knit! I used 3 balls of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran for it and I made it in the middle size.

Hi all.
I'm new to this KAL and new to KALs and blogging in general. I'm making the Katharine Hepburn Cardigan in Knitpicks Shine Sport, color is Violet. I'm about one inch from finishing the back piece and already about two inches into the front left half. I thought it would be fun to share my progress and see what other people are doing with the designs from this book. I am loving this sweater, so much so that I might make another one in wool later as a colder weather sweater. I'll post pics as soon as I get them off my camera, and figure out how to post them.

Little Silk Shrug

Sorry for the delay, but it has taken some time for me to get pictures for this post. The shrug was completed in no time. As I mentioned before, the pattern is very simple, yet the results are stylish. I liked this so much that I purchased more of the same yarn, but this time in a vibrant red. I'll be sure to share pictures once I start the project. It's great to see the results of some of the other projects, especially the essential tank. It's on my list of projects yet to come, but then again, I think I'd like to make one of everything in the book.

Hi All...this is my first post on this KAL. I hope to have more pics once I can get my blog together. Here's my Retro Redux Shrug. It is a surprise gift for my Aunt, whose in her 70's. She was looking through Lace Style and saw the shrug. She had mentioned how much she liked it and would like to have one...hint, hint. Since she lives outside of Washington, D.C. and doesn't get to come home (TN) often, I thought this would be a very nice gift for her. I had fun knitting this and it took about a week to make. I hope to make a few more with different yarns. I saw the yarn at JoAnn's and decided to try it out. I thought it was a nice soft yarn, holds it shape well and easy on my hands. I haven't been able to find any info on this yarn from anyone else who has used it before. If you have used this before, what were your thoughts on this yarn. Anyway, happy knitting.

Now I just have 13 more of these to do before I can start the edging (and get rid of my lovely brown acrylic worsted contrasting yarn... SO does not go with my lovely lavender wool-silk!). This is my first time posting and the first item I've knitted from Lace Style. I am afraid I made a mistake while reading the pattern and put 2 knits after each yo, ssk. I didn't realize until I had bound off! I couldn't figure out why my shrug pattern was so different than that shown in the book. Oh well, I think it still looks nice. I used Knit Picks Shine worsted in blush. I really like all the patterns in this book. Living in Florida makes it hard to wear any thing knitted. These lace patterns are just great for the balmy weather we have here. I plan my next project from the book

I am new to knitting lace. I made the Retro shrug and as simple as the pattern is I still made several mistakes sooooo before embarking on something harder ( I absolutely adore the Essential Tank) I would love some advice on where to put the markers that will help keep me on target. Mine's Knit Picks Andean Silk in Cream. Loved the pattern... I knit it smaller than me because I'm trying to lose weight (20 lbs. down, 40 more to go!). It's the perfect pattern for this because it stretches so I can wear it now if I want, and it doesn't have to stretch across the dreaded boob-age territory...

Lily of the Valley Shawl Finally Clicks

Three months ago, I purchased the Handmaiden Sea Silk in ivory. I mastered the provisional cast on, done for the first time; I easily knit the first border edging rows. Then, screech. You see, my lace knitting experience is limited to socks; I have never before attempted a shawl. I knit; I frogged. Repeat as nauseum. Many pairs of socks tempted me away as I occasionally glanced askance at the very little I had completed on the shawl, which is a gift for my mother, otherwise known as "The Meem." She picked it out herself. It was a substitution for the Hug-Me-Tight from Knit Two Together which, I am ashamed to say, was supposed to be a gift for, gulp, last Christmas. It defeated me. The gauge looked screwy; the pattern seemed cursed.

As I switched to the lovely Lily of the Valley shawl, I thought the curse was broken, then convinced myself it dwelled within me and my incompetence. Just this past weekend, however, as the Tour de France was ending and with it Harry Potter, the curse lifted and it all made sense to me. Use plenty of stitch markers; get yourself a pattern keeper from KnitPicks. Happily, I am making progress! My inner glee cannot be contained!

After posting a photo of the shawl to my own blog, pretendingtofarm.com, I got numerous compliments and much interest in joining the quest for lovely lilies. Finally, I am a knitter of lace. The only caveat? Alcohol and lace do not mix. When imbibing, just say no to lace!

Hi all! Just joined this blog; haven't done this before. I am currently working on the Floral Lace Anklets. My son is bringing home his girlfriend for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I am making them for her.

I've really gone round the bend on this one, though, as I love to recycle! I went to a Goodwill store and looked through the sweaters for a summery silk. I found one that was new (still had the tags on it!), and brought it home for $1.50. That evening, I took the sweater apart, piece by piece, and carefully rewound the golden silk fiber around a cardboard tube. I wound it at each end so that I could use two strands at once. I am about a third of the way through the first sock and it looks pretty good. I'm sure with blocking, it will really look great. I moved up to a #2 needle as the cuff was too small and tight on #1s.

I will be sure to post a picture of the final results! It's great fun to see and read about all your projects!

Little Silk Shrug

It took me some time to select a project from "Lace Style." Everything is beautiful! After enjoying the book for a while, I finally selected the "Little Silk Shrug." Instead of the yarn called for in the pattern, I chose to work with Maldive, Queensland Collection, a cotton/acrylic/viscose blend. I really like the results so far. The fiber flows nicely over my needles and the openwork of the pattern makes for a nice supple feel. This is such a simple pattern to follow, only four repeat rows for the pattern, and two of those are purl! The size of the project and simple pattern make this a very portable project. I'm anxious to finish this so I can move on to the next pattern.

Hi all. I've just recently joined this KAL and have not yet started a project. I'm going to make the cover sweater but I'm wondering about my yarn choice. I have a yummy hand dyed mohair boucle that I bought in Toronto a year ago. I'm wondering if the lace pattern will be seen. Have any of you knitted lace with this type of yarn? I'm new to the KAL (hello!) but have knitted lace before, and I love the book. I am dying to do the Garbo hat, even if I do look silly in hats. The FOs on here look fabulous!
I'm curious to know what people think of the Addi Turbo lace needles, as I am considering getting some, and if I do they will probably be duplicates of Addi Turbo circulars I already own. I have heard such good things about them, though, that I want to check them out. Especially remembering how difficult it was to p5tog when I made the Swallowtail Shawl.
Also, I am interested to hear from people who have knit with AWAT Fino, because it looks lush but is a wee bit on the spendy side, and I already have plenty of laceweight yarn. (But it's oh so tempting...)

My retro redux shrug is finished and was a very enjoyable knit. Easy, quick, and a very wearable sweater. I knit this with Malabrigo merino wool in the 38" size. It's the perfect combination of warm and cool for air conditioned buildings this summer. I've posted a few other pictures and details on my blog.

Lily of the Valley Shawl

Hi Everyone!

I am knitting the Lily of the Valley Shawl for my niece and I LOVE IT!!! The shawl is being knitted with "Zephyr" merino and silk yarn in Ice Blue (300 yds/skein) with Addi Turbo's new circular lace needles in size 6. I am a few rows from completing my 6th repeat of the center rectangle section (with 4 more repeats to go!) then I can begin the edging. I have been knitting this on and off since April '07. The center rectangle pattern is easily memorized and not difficult to knit. My dilemma is finding the time to knit consistently. Hopefully, this will be resolved soon and my knitting time will pick up quite a bit.

Here is a hint for purling nupp stitches on WS rows:
Be sure to separate the YO that immediately follows the nupp stitch BEFORE you insert your lace needle into the nupp stitch. I have found that the YO tends to move and can get intertwined with the nupp stitch.

Tailored Scallops

I finally got around to sewing up Tailored Scallops and am pleased with it. I used Jaeger Extra Fine Merino Chunky as I need the jacket to be slightly larger than it was written for. The gauge change affected the row count but frequent use of the tape measure kept me on track.

Lace Style on Knitty Gritty

Today was the showing of the Knitty Gritty episode, Rockin Regal Cuffs, that featured patterns from Lace Style. The segment was with Tricia Waddell (below with Vicki Howell, the show's host) and she demonstrated a couple of the lace patterns from the book.

I was lucky enough to be a knitster for this episode and got sneak peeks at a couple of patterns from the book. The first project in the show was "The Point about Cuffs." I did an alternative version of these with bamboo during the filming of the show.

The second project was actually the lace pattern from the edges of the "long long lacy gloves" in the book. They demonstrated this as a trim that you could add to the bottom of an existing skirt. For the show, I knit one up in mohair laceweight.

I just joined the KAL earlier this week and decided my next project from the book would be the Retro Redux Shrug. I've just started but am finding it a very quick knit.

I'm not sure when the Knitty Gritty episode will re-air but I think it would be fun for people on this KAL to see. Tricia brought a number of the finished items from the book on set and you can see them in the episode. The schedule is posted here if you want to investigate later. I have a few other pictures of the episode on my blog.

Greta Garbo Hat

I bought the book and knit the Greta Garbo hat in the last 3 days. When I went to Kiwi Knitting in Tucson for dpn, the owner mentioned there was something incorrect about the crown part of the pattern. I had to take out thefirst 9 rows of the crown pattern and insert 16 rows of the brim pattern. I started with row 5. Also had some problems with the last few rows of the crown when each section starts and ends with a YO.

So I jimmied the pattern, but I love how it turned out. Can't wait to go to High Tea and wear my new hat!!!

I have just joined the KAL! I started the Lily of the Valley Shawl a couple of nights ago. While I've done lace in heavier weight yarns, this is my first experience with laceweight yarn! I purchased the exact yarn in the photo: Jaeggerspun Superfine Merino in Mushroom and I am knitting it on size 6 Addi Turbo lace needles. I love them! The points couldn't be any more perfect! I will post photos soon!

Hepburn Cardigan...

I began the Hepburn cardigan last week but then had to leave town for a week long work engagement. Because of the charts and the level of attentiveness required to not mess this baby up, I tried about three rows on the airplane and quickly put it away and pulled out the socks. But now I am home and am eager to start it up again. The Louet Gems is a beaut and I'm loving the extreme pinkness of the 'Pink Panther' Colorway. I'll keep you posted!

Retro Redux Shrug

Hi everyone,

I completed my Retro Redux Shrug which is also the first sweater I have knitted ever and I am ecstatic with the results. I ended up making some adjustments - I have really long arms so I knit the arm sections using the size large measurements and then knit the body section using the medium measurements. It fit perfectly so I'm glad I thought to make the arms longer. I also used a different ribbing around the body section, although to be perfectly honest, I have no idea what I did. I made a mistake somewhere and ended up with more of a diagonal rib than a traditional rib, but I decided I liked my ribbing better and went with it instead of ripping back. Here are some pics. Hope everyone else is enjoying the book as much as I am!

The yarn that I chose for this pattern is "Misti Alpaca Lace", using 2 strands of 2 different colors. (0524, Baby pink and CD43 Coral Melange) Personally , I think this is a good match, looks like strawberry milkshake, right?

Hi Everybody!

I just wanted to post a quick note to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Kristina and I live in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, USA. I just graduated with a PhD in Nursing 3 weeks ago and received a copy of Lace Style as a graduation gift. Oh joy! I've been knitting lace for 1 1/2 years now and am totally addicted, so this is a wonderful gift.

I'm still contemplating which project to knit first, but am drawn to the lace anklets, the Hepburn cardigan, and the lily of the valley stole. It'll probably be a couple of weeks before I cast-on as I'm knitting a lace Pi shawl at present (plus a bunch of other things, of course :-) but I'm getting inspired by everyone's posts and pictures so that helps. Thanks for welcoming me to this group. I have a blog where I try to keep track of what I'm knitting, so feel free to take a peek if you are interested. Otherwise, I'll let you know when I decide which project to start first.

Hello: I am new to this KAL and am so excited to start. I have had my book for a few months now and have just kept looking and reading and looking and reading....so many beautiful things. I was attracted right off the the Katherine Hepburn Cardigan still there were several others that I liked but, I just kept going back to the KH Cardigan. So after finding out about this KAL I thought why not...just go for it. The only other KAL I have been involved with was for the Lady Eleanore also from Pam Allen. SO........tomorrow I will go to my LYS and purchase the yarn I need and plan to cast on when I get home from work. I'm just so excited to be included in the KAL and look forward to meeting all of you and watching everybodys progress. Thanks for the invite !!

Katharine Hepburn Cardigan - Moral Support Needed!

Back in March I ordered the same yarn used for this cardigan as in the book. It didn't take that long to be delivered right to my door, only a couple of month. I'm knitting this cardigan for my daughter. Thank god she's a small size. I usually don't knit garments. I'm having a hard time getting enthusiastic about this. I hate knitting cables. You should have seen me how fast I learned to cable without cable needle! I've knit a couple more pattern repeats on the back since I took this picture. I love the color, which I usually don't choose and I like the cardigan. So why do I rather clean house than sit down to knit on it? Moral support, please! ;o)

I finished the Peek-A-Boo Cloche

I got the book as soon as it was published - still, I have so many items on the needles that I haven't knit anything from this lovely book until now. Presenting the Peek-A-Boo Cloche:

The ends are yet to be woven in. You can see a (crappy) photo of me wearing the hat on my blog.

I knitted the had from one strand of Tvinni wool and one strand of Tvinni Alpaca - leftovers from a skirt I made - on needles size 3mm and 4mm. This makes the hat thicker and larger, but I needed a larger gauge since my head is a little large - 57-58 cm - and I like that the hat is thick and warm. I also made the inside colour extend all the way to the bottom of the brim, because I wanted to be able to see the red colour inside.

Compared to other hats, it might be a slow knit since you have to knit the inside first, and then the outer layer, however, the hat turns out very nice!

Tailored Scallops

I posted about this on the knitty boards as well, and of course I wanted to post my quest here!

I'm in love with the cover pattern Tailored Scallops, and I'd really love to make it in a non-wool yarn since I live in a warm climate. I was thinking of a sub like linen or silk- (a blend?) but something with drape and that can be blocked to show the feather and fan gorgeousness.

I haven't seen anything bulky enough- and the thought of double stranding makes my eyes cross...

Tailored Scallops

hi everybody! i am silke from germany. my grandmother tought me to knit and crochet when i was a kid. now i am 31 years old and i simply cant stop.
my husband says i am crazy, buying all those books and having a big shelf filled with yarn....oh well. whenever i find time to knit i enjoy doing it. my kids (almost 3 and 5 years old) usually sit next to me on the couch with a huge hook and some yarn and try to make some knots too. very cute.
i ve had lace style for a couple weeks now and i started working on the jacket from the front cover tailored scallops. i absolutely love the pattern, the yarn i m using is lana grossa royal tweed in a green shade i love.
i dont have that much time to knit with my two punks and i dont like making swatches, so i usually start a project with the smallest piece there is...i already got one sleeve done and i m on the last couple rows of the left front. beautiful!!! i cant wait to get this jacket done so i can wear it. there are so many other projects waiting in that shelf of mine, it might take me a while to get this one done.
i have to go now, thanks for letting me join this blog and keep knitting! i enjoy looking at your projects a lot, they are beautiful!

Here's my first finished item from Lace Style - the Little Silk Shrug - except that I didn't use silk !

I knitted this with less than 100gms of Rowan Damask. It took me a weekend to complete, the recipient loves it and there's another one on the needles

After my initial apathy about the book, I have come to love Lace Style! I just finished my first (and not my last) project from the book. I used Malabrigo in the Molly colorway. The pattern calls for size 8, 9, 10, and 10.5 needles, but I ended up using 8, 9, 10, and 11's (because I didn't have any 10.5's). I knitted the 38" size, and I'm SO glad I did. The other sizes would have been way too long (I'm only about 5'4"). The entire thing only used up about one and a half skeins of the Malabrigo, so I actually have some left over! The back section of the neck ribbing gave me some trouble. I ended up frogging it three or four times before I got my act together and got it right. It wasn't a pattern error at all - it was purely user error. In the end, I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I loved knitting the lace pattern, and if I'd really had time to sit and work on it, this shrug would have been knit in no time. I highly recommend it for someone wanting to try lace knitting for the first time. More pictures on my blog.

Hi I started this shrug about a week ago and it is a really quick knit. It's for my mom on Mother's Day so I've been working on it every spare moment. I hope to get my internet back up soon so I can post pictures of my progress.

I'm Sooo excited! My very first blogging experience...what better way to start than knitting lace with other lace lovers!! I have had the book since the day it came out and have spent many glorious weeks looking at the pictures and actually reading the patterns(I'm thinking that maybe I'm not supposed to admit to that last one?) I have decided which pattern to knit first at least a dozen times...oh the joys of choice!

I actually started the Lily of the Valley shawl, alas, after about 2 inches, and an equal number of weeks, I must start over. The amount I have learned about lace knitting in general has been worth it though. I started my lovely project with some truly stunning yarn...the kind that you can sit and pet for hours while dreaming of its perfection wrapped around your shoulders and the covetous glances from others. Then reality came crashing down around my shoulders instead of a glorious shawl....the perfect yarn and the perfect pattern did not go together...'how could this be??'

I have learned that most lace patterns call for 'lace weight' yarn but there are varying weights of lace weight. I think the yarn I was using is closer to a cobweb type lace weight, hence too light for a lily of the valley pattern. I think my next attempt will be Misti Alpaca lace. Oh, what was the beautiful and superb yarn I first used? Artyarn Mohair/Silk in an incredible variegated icycle green.

The needles are calling so I must go. Can't wait to hear from you all.

I'm so happy to be member of this kal, I received my book yesterday! As a matter of fact, I heard the mailman, went to the door and found this on the doorstep (lol, in a package, of course!)! My husband had surprised me by ordering it after he saw me looking through it in a yarn shop when we were out of town a couple of weeks ago! He's sweet like that!
Oh my, I was looking through the book at the dr.'s office today and I can't decide where to begin! Everything is so lovely!
I am LOVING all of your projects, too!

I'm so happy to be a part of this blog! I got the book yesterday and I'm taking it with me to the Dodger game tonight to decide on a project; they are all SO exquisite, every one of them is unique challenge that will enhance/impact any wardrobe. I really like the Katherine Hepburn Cardigan (both lengths), Tailored Scallops and the Ooh La Lace Dress; maybe the Great Garbo Garden Hat for my mother (talk about dramatic effect)!

I set myself weekly knitting goals so that I can manage my ongoing knitting projects. One of my usual goals is to "Knit a swatch from a yarn you love" which usually satisfies my need to start new projects.

However, the swatch I knit last week has mysteriously grown into a sleeve for Tailored Scallops....

I'm using Elann's Uros Aran yarn in Oxblood, a lovely dark wine color. It's 50/50 wool and llama so it should be very warm despite the lacy feather and fan pattern!

Greetings all you loverly knitters out there. I got my book about a week ago, bought yarn for my first project approximately eight seconds later, and am now working on the Featherweight Lingerie Dress by Mari Lynn Patrick. Believe it or not it's a pretty quick knit; I'm already half-way done the skirt portion, which is the biggest part. I'm using Rowan Kid Silk Haze in Cream, which is a little finicky, but gorgeous.

Pictures coming soon (whenever I can wrench the digital camera away from dear boyfriend, that is).

I know there's not much to see yet. I just cast on for the Shetland Shawl turned Vest. I'm so excited, because I already know that the next project will be the K.H. cardigan in the Cherry red, like in the book. Both projects will be for my daughter. I used addi's lace circs to cast on and knit the first row. They are wonderful. A must have! Unfortunately for me, I have to change to a larger size now, and I don't have addi lace circs in that size, what a bummer. Got to go now and knit! Later.

I'm so excited to have a KAL for this book! I bought this a few weeks ago and can't wait to get started! My first project will be the Essential Tank Top! My friend picked this out for me! She thinks it will look great on me! Now, I have to figure out which yarn to use! I'm going to see if I have some from my stash that will work first.

I just got my book (well for this and the Socks as well) and I am in love. I love a lot of the patterns but I am completely in love with the Katharine Hepburn Cardigan bu Kathy Zimmerman. As I am trying to destash right now I am going to make this out of Cascade 220 that is in stash, which I know is thicker than what is called for but I am a little larger than the pattern so I think it shall work. I will be swatching tonight. Wish me luck

Floral Lace Anklets

I am half way through the first of my Floral Lace Anklets page 27 in Regia Silk Mocca. What a fun pattern. The repeats are easy to remember and the pattern develops subtly. I am a little disappointed in the yarn however, the cuff is getting fuzzy. I am not sure why.

Although they list it as "in stock" (finally), my shipping record says it's not shipping out until the first week of April! And yet...and yet...I saw a copy sitting on the shelves of Barnes & Noble the other day! So, we'll see...maybe it will show up one day soon, as a surprise!
